How to update your Christmas and Delivery Availability Message

A short article to show how to update your Christmas Delivery and Availability Message for your products, individually or in bulk.

What is it?

This message appears for your products on the category and products pages. You can update products individually or in bulk.  Your message can be a maximum of 70 characters (including spacing), examples being:

Last date for Christmas Delivery: ROI 16th/ NI 14thUK 14th/ EU 14th 

OR 

No longer taking orders for Christmas, earliest Delivery date 4th Jan

How do I set this up?

You have 2 options to make these updates:

For both first you must go to https://shuppy.ie/vendor.php and log in to your Shuppy account.  From your home page, use the top menu bar and go to Products > Products.

 

For a single product:

Click on the product you want to add an Availability Message to. 

Under the General tab scroll to the bottom of the page to the section titled Extra. Here you will see the new field Availability Message. Simply enter in the message you want to display no greater than 70 characters (including spaces).

When complete click Save at the top right of the screen & you're done. This message will then show for this product as per the examples. 

Update in Bulk 

This is an efficient way to update all your products messages at one go.

If you want to update all products without exception then just click the tick box top left, this will 'select all'.  Alternatively, if you want to select several products you can do so by clicking to the left of each product image (where the red dots are) they will be highlighted as you click on them. 

Once you have completed either of the above steps you will be presented with a new menu at the top of the products listing. You should now click the Edit selected button.

This will show a pop up. You must click Unselect all & then only tick Availability Message & then click Modify Selected. *Product name and Status will also be selected as mandatory fields, so don't worry about that.

When the page re loads Click on Apply values to all the selected products link, then tick the checkbox next to Availability Message, simply enter in the message you want to display no greater than 70 characters (including spaces).  When you have this complete click Apply & this will be applied to all the products you selected.

When finished click Save at the top right of the screen & you're done. This message will then show for this product as per the examples.
