How do I set up my Seller Home Page?

This guide shows you how to make sure your seller home page looks great!

Log in to your Seller account

Go to https://shuppy.ie/vendor.php and go to Sellers > Sellers.

Editing your Seller account

Click on your seller name to begin editing your seller account.

General tab

Here you will find your Seller name and other details you would have provided during registration, it's best to check and make sure that these are correct.

Additionally, you will need to choose the type of product you are selling. Choose “Store” if you are selling a product and “Service” if you are selling a service.

When you are finished, click the save button in the top right-hand corner of your screen.

Add-ons tab

Click on Add-ons tab to add a more specific location and view your stores SEO URL. The SEO URL will be pre-populated based on the details you provided during registration. We recommend you do not change this.

To access your front-facing seller home page, add your SEO name after “shuppy.ie/” in the address bar. For example: shuppy.ie/wild-irish-fruit

The latitude and longitude will be used to position you on the Shuppy  map, allowing customers to search for you by location (this is powered by Google Maps). Providing your latitude and longitude will pinpoint exactly where you are on the map.

To add the latitude and longitude of your location, open Google Maps and use the navigation tools to zoom in on your location. Right click on your business location and click “what’s here?” from the drop-down menu.

This will open a small box at the bottom of your map, where you can find the co-ordinates of your business. The first number is your latitude and the second number is your longitude. Copy & paste these figures into your Add-ons tab.

When you are finished, click the save button in the top right-hand corner of your screen.

Description tab

  • Description box:

This will give customers information on your business and its story. It is your chance to highlight the unique aspects of your business and present a clear explanation of your offering. We recommend using text only in this section.

You should begin your description with a nice quote of approx. 35 words, this will give customers a quick snapshot of your story before going into further detail. To put your text into a quote, insert your text and highlight it. Click the format icon and select “Quote”.

Your quote should look like this.

To switch back from quote format to normal text format, click format icon and click “Normal text”. The 2nd portion of your description should be your main “About Us” text of approx. 100 words.  Remember not to add any contact information in this area or any where else on your shop page.

By not having them in this format, your logo will have visual issues. Here is a helpful guide on how to format your images.

Other information tab

Icons can be a quick way to communicate unique or special attributes about your business. Here you can choose which icons you wish to display on your seller home page to make your business stand out. We suggest you use all of these!

To ensure your icons appear on your seller home page, make sure to provide a brief description in “details information”.

They will appear on your seller home page as pictured below.

Banner upload tab - PLEASE FOLLOW CAREFULLY

It's important that we are able to show customers the person/people behind the business, so as part of your seller page you'll need to upload some banner images (ideally 4 to 5). They should include images of your shop or workspace, you & your team and nice shots of your products.

When taking your personal and store photographs, try to capture a sense of warmth and personality, avoid forced or posed looking expressions or actions. Backgrounds that show off your store, workshop or premises will give customers a great sense of what you're about.

These banner  images will need to be 715 by 500 Pixels - THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. Here is a guide to help you format your banners. To upload your banner, click on one of the 3 options - local/server/URL and choose your image. Put the images in the order of how you want them to appear, you cannot reorder them afterwards!

Reviews tab - MAKE YOURSELF STAND OUT!

We all know reviews are really important in helping customers decide who to buy from. As these can take time to collect (especially on a new platform), we've built the site so you can upload your business reviews which you've received from other social platforms such as Facebook, Google or TripAdvisor. The info you'll need to enter is:

  • Name of the reviewer (if available)
  • The text of the review
  • Date & time of the review
  • Sources i.e. Facebook, Google or TripAdvisor

To add reviews, click on “add post”.
